The Salisbury House & Gardens staff conducted a historic day of cooking, sonnets and poetry, acting, and 17th Century craft activities with the Boys and Girls Club of Des Moines, the Youth Emergency Shelter Services, and the Children’s Cancer Connection of Des Moines during the week of Repertory Theater of Iowa’s production of “The Merry Wives of Windsor.” Area youth also received tours of the house and learned about the works and life of Shakespeare, and learned about American life and culture during the 1920’s when the house was built.
