Re-plastering the ceiling

Restoration of Salisbury House began in earnest in 2005, with replacement of the tile roof, the first step in a Master Plan for Renovation.

Plastering restoration

Next, the four-bay garage was converted into a Visitors Center, where House tours begin and many events are held. Other critically necessary projects included replacement of entire electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, fire suppression and security systems, completed in 2006. The next steps focused on refinishing floors, re-plastering and repainting ceilings and walls, and re-setting and staging interiors, which continues today.
