New Library Lending Program with Grinnell College

In the fall of 2019, the Weeks library collection was sold to Grinnell College so that these rare objects could be researched, preserved, and shared with scholars around the world.

As part of this arrangement, Grinnell and Salisbury House have created a lending program so there will always be a Weeks book on display in the library. Each quarter, Grinnell College will loan Salisbury House a different book or document to display in the library and, as they continue their preservation and research, share with us information regarding the loaned book and the rest of the collection. To help facilitate the lending program, Grinnell College has provided Salisbury House with a brand-new, climate-controlled, secure display case so that the story of Carl and Edith Weeks’ fantastic library collection can continue to be shared.
