In 1993, this group of individuals recognized the historical significance of Salisbury House and its collection, and together they formed the Salisbury House Foundation. Under their leadership, funds were raised to purchase the estate and its contents to preserve it for future generations.
It is due to their efforts that Salisbury House stands today.

The header image is of the 1954-1955 Iowa State Education Association Executive Board. The ISEA purchased Salisbury House and the Weeks family's collection of art and furnishings in 1955, and converted the estate into their executive headquarters.
