The pink marble pavers in the “cobblestone” courtyard were re-laid to address the water penetration issues being experienced in the house's basement underneath. This had the added benefit of making the surface flatter and safer to walk on, as well as updating the planters.

Originally built in 1954, the pathway from the parking lot to the gardens had not received any major updates since the 1970s. The path was replaced with a tiered approach, incorporating small steps and long flat surfaces while also adding three extra feet of width. Lighting was upgraded, and additional light poles were added for better security.

Due to waterflow and structural issues, a portion of the parking lot retaining wall collapsed in the spring of 2021. The new retaining wall was finished in August of 2022. It was built with a permeable concrete wall behind the limestone. This will allow water to flow through without putting pressure on the retaining wall itself.
